The REUJAT program provides support for up to eight undergraduate research assistants annually working on research projects focusing on advanced technology in civil engineering (structural control, structural health monitoring, and advanced materials) to spend five weeks during the summer of 2005 working on those projects with colleagues in Japan.  The research assistants would spend three additional summer weeks working with their research advisors at institutions in the U.S. More details on the program are available under Program Description. 

2006 was the final year of funding for the REUJAT Program. Applications will not be accepted for 2007.

• The fifth annual program was held in the summer of 2006. The 2006 REUJAT participant's research reports and presentations are available for viewing. Pictures from the trip are also available.
• The fourth Annual program was held in the summer of 2005. The 2005 REUJAT participant's research reports and presentations are available for viewing. Pictures from the trip are also up. 
• The third annual program was held in the summer of 2004.  The 2004 REUJAT participants and their research papers and presentations are available.  Also, you may view pictures of the 2004 REUJAT program .  Karla Villarreal and Allen Au have prepared a  summary of the 2004 REUJAT experience.
• The second annual program was held in the summer of 2003. Information on the outcomes of the 2003 Program and pictures of the 2003 REUJAT Program experience are available. Also, for prospective applicants for the 2004 program, Andrea and David prepared a summary of their experiences and suggestions for future participants.
