Program Overview
Each summer, students from all over the United States come to St. Louis to participate in a structural engineering research experience for undergraduates. Under the direction of a Washington University professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, undergraduate students have the opportunity to conduct a 10 week research project on a state of the art topic. Participants are provided with a stipend, a relocation allowance, and housing allowance, and housing can be pre-arranged. The application can be downloaded from the main REU page in .pdf format.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the REU program, applicants must be citizens or permanent
residents of the United States or its possessions. Further, applicants must be
enrolled full-time in a degree program leading to a bachelor's degree. Students
who have received their bachelor's degree before the program can not be
considered.
