Benchmark Cable-Stayed Bridge Control ProblemPhase IIIntroductionIn the 2nd phase of the benchmark cable-stayed bridge problem the complexity of the excitation is increased. Multiple support excitation with different angles and times of arrival for each support is considered. Additionally, an alternate model is developed to study the robust stability and performance of the control system under realistic conditions. Here the mass of the bridge is incremented due to snow and rain loads. DOWNLOAD A 700KB PDF file describing the Phase II Benchmark Cable-Stayed Bridge Control Problem Statement. IMPORTANT: The simulation provided in the benchmark files does not work with Matlab 6.0 due to a bug in Simulink 4.0. This bug is not present in Matlab 5.3 or Matlab 6.1 The second phase of this benchmark problem will be the focus of a special issue of the Journal of Structural Control.
