E37 - MASE 5502 - Plates And Shells

Unified presentation of classical theories of plates and shells. Topics include: curvilinear coordinates, vector formulation, and basic engineering applications. Emphasis on understanding of geometrical and load-carrying characteristics of plate and shell structures and interpretation of numerical solutions. Prerequisites: MASE 5500 or equivalent.
